Esther 9:25

SVMaar als zij voor den koning gekomen was, heeft hij door brieven bevolen, dat zijn boze gedachte, die hij gedacht had over de Joden, op zijn hoofd zou wederkeren; en men heeft hem en zijn zonen aan de galg gehangen.
WLCוּבְבֹאָהּ֮ לִפְנֵ֣י הַמֶּלֶךְ֒ אָמַ֣ר עִם־הַסֵּ֔פֶר יָשׁ֞וּב מַחֲשַׁבְתֹּ֧ו הָרָעָ֛ה אֲשֶׁר־חָשַׁ֥ב עַל־הַיְּהוּדִ֖ים עַל־רֹאשֹׁ֑ו וְתָל֥וּ אֹתֹ֛ו וְאֶת־בָּנָ֖יו עַל־הָעֵֽץ׃

ûḇəḇō’āh lifənê hammeleḵə ’āmar ‘im-hassēfer yāšûḇ maḥăšaḇətwō hārā‘â ’ăšer-ḥāšaḇ ‘al-hayyəhûḏîm ‘al-rō’šwō wəṯālû ’ōṯwō wə’eṯ-bānāyw ‘al-hā‘ēṣ:


ACכה ובבאה לפני המלך אמר עם הספר ישוב מחשבתו הרעה אשר חשב על היהודים על ראשו ותלו אתו ואת בניו על העץ
ASVbut when [the matter] came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he had devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.
BEBut when the business was put before the king, he gave orders by letters that the evil design which he had made against the Jews was to be turned against himself; and that he and his sons were to be put to death by hanging.
Darbyand when [Esther] came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he had devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head; and they hanged him and his sons on the gallows.

Schwährend Esther dadurch, daß sie vor den König kam, bewirkte, daß er durch Briefe befahl, Hamans bösen Anschlag, den er wider die Juden erdacht hatte, auf seinen eigenen Kopf zu lenken, so daß man ihn und seine Söhne an den Galgen hängte.
